I’ve got those down and lonely Cat Shelter BLUES – won’t you help me chase them away? I am a handsome, all-white, long-haired cat with spectacular blue eyes. My coloring is a result of something called the dominant white mask, which prevents the visible expression of color on the hair shaft, also inhibiting the eye pigment, which results in blue eyes. This mask can affect the ears as well and, because of this, I am deaf.
I am a healthy boy who loves to climb to high places where I can view my surroundings and check things out. I like warm laundry, simple toys that I can toss up into the air, and wand/string toys to chase. I do need regular brushing because of the length of my fur, but grooming is a wonderful way to bond with me, especially if I can sit in your lap at brushing time! Because I am deaf and declawed on all four paws, I can be a bit skittish until I feel comfortable, so I hope you will be patient and understanding until I adjust to my new surroundings. (I would be totally defenseless outside and must always be kept safe indoors.)
I don’t like to be alone and would do best with someone that is home most of the time or with another laid-back cat for company. If you don’t already have a cat, the folks here at the shelter would be glad to introduce you to cats that would be compatible with me and make good buddies. Please no dogs or small children.
I'm part of the Seniors-for-Seniors program. My adoption fee will be reduced by 50% for anyone at least 50 years of age.
